What is DreamVille ?

It started when we saw that getting a decent quality of life is impossible in cities with all the pollution, scarcity of water, etc. Having lived in well planned and well maintained communies in the US, we found it difficult to accept the existing way of building flats, multis, or residential complexes. At the same time, good projects such as Amby Valley by Sahara are exhorbitantly expensive and are really meant only for the super rich. 

Community 

In short, DreamVille is a virtual community of cooperative farmhouses with shared infrastructure and management, developed by NRIs and local intellectuals.

The idea is to develop a big tract of land with trees, lanscaping, pond, and then let the members develop their own houses in alloted 1 or 1/2 acre lots.

Does that mean either we don't return to India or we must accept the lack of sensible housing? We believe that there is a third option. Instead of cursing the existing way of things, why not we build the ideal housing project just the way we want it? We are extremely fortunate to have come to US, not just because we were able to make money, but because we got an opportunity to learn so many things one can never even imagine in India. So it is only we who can take that knowledge and resources back and put them to work. If we can't do it then who can?

DreamVille is an effort to create such a community.
